Being able to ride a bike safely and confidently is an amazing skill to have and it's another 'feather in your cap' in terms of having another option to get active - if you aren't able to run or walk, if you'd like to do an adventure race one day or you just feel like doing something different.
As a result of this - we'd like to inspire and encourage more of you to get on your bikes - so we've locked in the incredibly talented Coralie from Beyond Physio & Fitness to do some small group coaching - and we're ready to take registrations.
Here's all the finer details:
When: Sunday 3 April OR Saturday 9 April
Where: Cambridge Park by the Tga BMX Track - meeting at the red star on the map below
Time: 9am OR 11am
Group size: no more than 6 in each session
Session length: 2 hrs
Who: any beginner female cyclists - and you don't have to be part of our current programmes, so friends etc are welcome
Skills covered: braking, cornering, gearing, hills, bike set up, what to wear etc etc
What to bring: your bike, helmet, comfortable riding clothes and a water bottle
Cost: $35 (with 100% of the payment less event+ processing fees going to Coralie)
Weather: the sessions will go ahead rain or shine - but in the case of really nasty conditions, they will be postponed
Refunds: there will be no refunds for these sessions. It is up to you to on-sell your 'spot' if you can't make it on the day
Notes:
- if these sessions sell-out - we may add more depending on demand. So please do e-mail us if you miss out on the one you want.
- we haven't set a date and location for an intermediate session at this stage as we're thinking we might head up to summerhill for this one. If you are interested in an intermediate session please reply to this e-mail and we can liaise as a small group and work out a date and time that suits us all.
